Description
The Outlaw Premium Winch Bumper was born out of the commercial need for simplicity of access to a winch during difficult recovery operations. This winch bumper met that need, then exceeded it by enabling the user to utilize its many additional features for pulley block use, LED lighting application, shackle hook mounting, and of course, overall protection. This bumper has seen deployment to harsh locations across the western hemisphere such as Alaskan mines, law enforcement in the Colorado Rockies, tree surgeon companies everywhere, towing companies, etc.
The winch box on the Outlaw Premium Winch Bumper is fully welded 3/8” plate steel construction and pre-drilled with the standard 4.5×10” bolt hole pattern for feet down winches. It also includes additional mounting holes for many different foot forward winches. It is roller and hawse fairlead capable. The rigid outer light loops are attached to the base of the bumper via 3/8” welded steel gussets. The upper brush guard pipe is 1 1/4” oversize OD giving it a more aggressive look to match the larger front ends of current model trucks.
The primary goal of the Outlaw Premium Winch Bumper is to offer the user more visibility of the winch. This allows the winch operator to easily monitor how the wire or synthetic cable is spooling around the winch drum and quickly pause the recovery if the spool is too heavy to one side, which will greatly reduce the chance of catastrophic damage to an expensive winch. Due to the height advantage of the winch box the likely-hood of mud or snow burial is slim. In the event that this occurs it is much quicker to dig out. Reaching the winch handheld plug-in and ‘free spool’ controls is also simplified as they are easily accessible at approximate waist height. Many customers find numerous uses for this bumper, not the least of which being as a plow for deer and other road kill animals. Adding up all of the features and uses, over the years this bumper has become a hit in commercial as well as non-commercial applications. It truly upholds the old slogan, “Be Prepared.”
